UPDATED TERMS & REFUND POLICY

Applicable to all Container Homes & Expandable Units (Australia)


1. PAYMENT TERMS


1.1 Production Deposit (50%)


A 50% deposit is required to secure your production slot and begin manufacturing.
Once the deposit is received:


  • materials are purchased
  • factory labour is allocated
  • production begins
  • engineering specifications are locked in


The deposit is non-refundable once production has commenced.


1.2 Final Payment (50%)


Final payment is required prior to dispatch from the factory.
You will receive:


  • final Quality Control photos
  • confirmation of build completion
  • delivery preparation updates


Products will not be shipped until the balance is paid in full.


1.3 Accepted Payment Methods


• Bank transfer (preferred)
• Cash

2. REFUND POLICY


2.1 No Change-of-Mind Refunds


All units are made to order, therefore:


Deposits are non-refundable for change-of-mind or personal circumstances.


This is industry standard and reflects supplier costs already committed.


2.2 Refund Eligibility (Strict Cases Only)


Refunds may only be considered if:


  • production has NOT begun and materials have NOT been ordered
  • the wrong model is delivered compared to the signed order sheet
  • a major structural defect is identified before dispatch that cannot be rectified


Refunds will not apply to:


  • minor cosmetic variations
  • delays caused by shipping, customs, weather, or logistics
  • council approval outcomes (customer responsibility)
  • customer-requested cancellations


2.3 Production Delays


Shipping or manufacturing delays do not qualify for refunds.
These may occur due to:


  • global shipping conditions
  • factory queue adjustments
  • customs clearance
  • weather events
  • transport availability



We will provide updates throughout the process.


3. ORDER CHANGES & AMENDMENTS


3.1 Adjustments After Deposit


Customers have 48 hours after deposit to request any changes to layout, upgrades, or specifications.

After this window:


  • additions may be accepted (subject to factory approval)
  • structural changes may require a new quote
  • downgrades are not refundable


3.2 Upgrades


Optional upgrades (A/C, decking, lighting, internal design) must be paid in full before being added to your order.

4. DELIVERY & SITE REQUIREMENTS


4.1 Customer Responsibility for Site Preparation


Customers must ensure:


  • minimum 3.2m truck access
  • stable, level ground
  • no overhead obstacles
  • crane access where required
  • proper site preparation


Delivery failure due to site issues is the customer’s responsibility.


4.2 Delivery Fees


Delivery fees vary based on:


  • distance
  • access difficulty
  • crane requirements
  • delivery method (tilt tray or crane truck)


A delivery quote will be provided prior to dispatch.


4.3 Failed Delivery Attempts


If the truck cannot access your site, customer must cover:


  • re-delivery fees
  • storage fees (if applicable)
  • crane costs
  • labour charges

5. WARRANTY


5.1 Warranty Period


Each unit includes a 12-month structural warranty covering:


  • frame
  • external panels
  • structural integrity


5.2 Warranty Limitations


Warranty does not cover:


  • misuse
  • DIY modifications
  • poor installation by unlicensed contractors
  • water leaks caused by poor site preparation
  • storm or weather damage
  • electrical or plumbing completed by non-licensed trades
  • mould, moisture or maintenance issues


Warranty applies only when the unit is installed correctly.

6. COUNCIL APPROVAL & COMPLIANCE


6.1 Approvals


Customers are responsible for:


  • council approval
  • private certification
  • zoning checks
  • compliance verification


We provide assistance documents such as:


  • engineering drawings
  • wind rating certification
  • product specifications
  • anchoring recommendations


Approvals are not guaranteed and are outside our control.

7. CANCELLATION POLICY


7.1 Before Production Begins


If cancellation is requested before materials are ordered,
a partial refund may be considered, minus:


  • admin fees
  • supplier handling costs
  • material reservation costs


7.2 After Production Begins



No cancellations are possible once the factory has started production.

8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS


By paying a deposit, the customer acknowledges:


  • they have read and accepted the terms
  • they understand the refund policy
  • they understand approval responsibility
  • they accept potential production/shipping delays
  • they understand conditions of delivery
  • they approve the final order sheet


This policy protects both the customer and our business from misunderstandings.
